Community Partners

The Air Force Association is an independent nonprofit organization that openly and strongly supports the United States Air Force, and the need

for air power as a strong factor in our nation’s defense.

AFA is the professional association of the Air Force Community. Civilians and private companies are an integral part of our Air Force and our association.

They are the employees, parents, relatives, family members, teachers, guidance counselors and community members who impact the Air Force and

the community in which they live. They hold offices, work on committees, and serve at all levels from the top down. They have a unique opportunity

to make an investment in the future of young men and women who are interested in joining the military and to be involved with defense and congressional

issues in their local community. By joining AFA as a Community Partner, you are expressing your own concern for a deterrent force sufficient to ensure this nation’s peace and security.

Benefits of Joining AFA Specialized Support and Recognition

You will be supporting an association that supports the United States Air Force, its mission, and its personnel at all bases nationwide. By joining as a

Community Partner, you will let the people of the Air Force community with whom you do business know that you support them through the Air Force

Association – the Association that advocates fairness for them through adequate pay, health care, and Quality of Life programs AFA chapters nationwide provide support and sponsor many local Air Force personnel recognition programs. Many chapters conduct fundraisers for Air Force Base personnel needs.

As a local business, you’ll have access to hundreds of additional potential customers through the Community Partner program. Most chapters bring

special recognition to their Community Partners by listing them in their newsletters, sending out emails to their members, and/or by public recognition at

chapter functions. Additionally, AFA provides special recognition through a distinctive and handsome plaque and a window decal that reads,

“Our Business Supports Our Troops” to identify the business as a Community Partner.

Subscription to AIR FORCE Magazine

The magazine has a long and colorful history, having been in existence since before there was either an Air Force or an Air Force Association. Over the

decades, AIR FORCE has evolved into one of the world’s foremost defense publications? Award winning monthly journal unmatched in total force coverage with up to date editorial comments on issues of the day to include congressional issues and issues concerning space, technology, and military preparedness for

our nation.? Annual issues of particular importance including an annual “Almanac of the US Air Force,” a heavyweight compendium of facts and figures

about Air Force people, equipment, budgets, bases organizations, leaders, heroes and a lot more. Each year, the Air Force orders hundreds of extra copies for its personnel to use as basic desk reference. In 2005, AIR FORCE launched its innovative ground breaking “Daily Report” news product on the AFA website, opening a highly promising venture in the defense information field. It provides a daily (Monday through Friday) roundup of news about the Air Force, airpower, and national defense. Whether the subject is Air Force operations, programs, policies, history, or heroism, AIR FORCE Magazine is widely seen as the trusted authority by the defense community.

AFA Programs and Events of Interest

National symposia with key briefings by Air Force leaders. Meetings at local and national levels where AFA speaks out on issues of importance to the Air Force.

Housed within AFA, the Eaker Institute is the public policy and research arm of the organization. Activities of the Eaker Institute include advocating for H.R. 758 to establish an interagency aerospace revitalization task force, a new study highlighting the Air Force and the Cold War and the publication of a series of

Eaker papers on important defense and aerospace issues. So that we may recognize the best of the best, AFA honors the outstanding achievements of
